Farm School Chores
Each day begins with a randomly selected farm school chore. The purpose is to get a taste of life on the homestead, while instilling a good work ethic and growing in personal responsibility. This is also a fun way to get your hands dirty either in the garden or with the animals!

Monthly Themes/ Literature Discussion
Each month’s class focuses on a different homestead, life skill or farm related topic that involves hands on learning. Right after farm school chores, a short picture book that relates to our monthly theme will be shared with the students. Spring 2024 topics include chicken processing, horses, pollinators, spring gardening, and astronomy.

Know and Tell
Students have a chance to present what they have been learning at home on any topic. Suggested topics are given for inspiration. The 2-5 minute oral presentation can be in any form: narration, poster, essay, or artwork they created. The purpose is to produce something they are proud to share with their peers, while encouraging public speaking, communication development, and listening skills.
